Historic moment – A 1-8 to 0-8 semi-final victory over St. Eunan’s of Letterkenny last Sunday has paved the way to an historic first Ulster Club senior championship final appearance on the 30th November with Derry champions Slaughtneil providing the opposition. Attention now turns to the provincial decider in Armagh and the hope of further glory to cap what is already an incredible season for the club.
Ulster final buses – The club plans to organise buses to the final for club members and their families. Anyone who would like a place should text their name, mobile number and number of seats required to Club Secretary Paul Breen on 07803 876555 by this Friday. Children under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. A fee will apply.
Big Breakfast – All supporters are invited to a special Ulster final fund-raising breakfast in the Mellon Country Hotel this Saturday from 10.30am-12.30pm. A full cooked breakfast, served by our senior players, will be available for a ‘minimum’ donation of £5 per person. All proceeds from the event will go towards our senior team training fund. Scór finalists – Good luck to all eight St. Enda’s teams in Sunday Tyrone Scór na nÓg finals in Galbally (3pm) and we hope to see a good support for our youth members there. See website for full list of participants.
Gaelic Start – Gaelic Start sessions resume this Saturday in the CBS sportshall at 10am but will finish at the slightly earlier time of 11am to allow everyone to attend the Big Breakfast in the Mellon.
Camogie/hurling – Indoor camogie and hurling for U8 and U10 players continues on Friday evening in the Leisure Centre from 8-9pm.
Boys Coaching – There will be indoor U10 football and hurling coaching in the main hall in Healy Park on Saturday morning from 10am but will finish at 11.15am to allow families to attend the Big Breakfast in the Mellon which runs from 10.30am to 12.30pm.
Summer Camp vouchers – Anyone who still has Summer Camp vouchers are reminded that the offer expires on 31st Dec. If you wish to purchase items, the shop opens every Wednesday from 6.30-7.30pm.
Admin support – The club is currently seeking the support of club members who may have experience or knowledge of Community Development schemes, funding programmes and grant application processes. Pantomime – Remember to keep free the 4th-7th December for the Jack and the Beanstalk pantomime in St. Joseph’s hall. Admission is payable at the door. Last week’s (Nov 13th).
Lotto – Club lotto numbers are 1, 7, 19, 20, 24. Four draw winners of £25 each are Anne McHugh, Ciara Devine, Irene Mulryan and Maureen Bannon.
Mass – There will be a Mass for deceased members on Tuesday 25th Nov at 7.30pm.
