WELL done to the St. Enda’s ladies team who played in their first ever ‘Gaelic for Mums and Others’ blitz in Garvaghey last Saturday morning.

The team played Errigal Ciaran, Saville and Lurgan, winning two of their games. It was a big day for three of our players, Clare McCanny, Imelda McGeehan and Anita Quinn, who played football for the first time – with Clare also scoring 1-2 on her debut!

‘Gaelic for Mums and Others’ is a non-competitive, recreational activity and anyone who would like to play in future blitzes is asked to contact Kerry O’Neill on 07746 127489.

If you do not want to play but would like to consider refereeing instead, there will be an official training course in Killyclogher on the 4th and 12th November. Those who complete the ‘Grab Your Whistle’ course will be qualified to referee girls youth football games next year.

The course is free and if you would like to reserve a place please email maggieskelton@hotmail.co.uk before Friday 31st October at 5pm
