As a player Joe Mulryan gave it all in an Omagh St Enda’s jersey and throughout his life the former bursar at Omagh CBS continued to devote so much time and effort to the club as coach, manager, mentor, secretary and President. Now after several decades of service especially to youth football Joe will be honoured by the club.
The “Night For Joe” is set for Friday 25th April with players from the many teams he coached returning to the club to remember his contribution as a coach and mentor. From Tyrone to national success so many players have been guided by the soft spoken Joe.
Alongside the late Jackie Livingstone and Thady Turbett Joe, who was part of the Tyrone championship winning team of 1964, helped nurture so much underage success at the club with feile, championships and leagues all secured under his tutelage.
Joe was also part of the Tyrone minor management for a time with Liam Mc Grath but it is with St Enda’s that saw him spend a lifetime of commitment.
This very special “This is Your Life” themed event will feature many faces from Joes past with some surprises expected along the way on what’s expected to be a very special night for Joe and his family.
The club are inviting any players who were coached or managed by Joe to come along to this exciting night of nostalgia, memories and interviews that gets underway at 8-30pm.
We are encouraging any of the teams managed by Joe especially the 1986 Feile and 1983 Club minors
