On Sunday, October 20th, the Archbishop of Cashel and Emly, Kieran O’Reilly, will be celebrating 12-00 Mass at Sacred Heart Church as part of the 125th anniversary of its construction. In recognition of the Archbishop’s position as patron of the GAA, the parish clubs of St.Enda’s, Drumragh and Tattyreagh are all invited to attend this Mass wearing their respective club colours. Representatives from each club have been invited to participate in the readings and liturgy. The first patron in the history of the GAA was Archbishop Thomas Croke after whom Croke Park was named in 1913. This tradition as patron remains with all successors of Archbishop Croke. This is an historic symbolic gesture from the GAA in the parish. All the clubs’ families in full colours will make this a special occasion. Members are asked to assemble from 11-15am at Sacred Heart Church.
