Our Under 14 and minor boys will embark on their new seasons this weekend. After the 14s openers were called off last weekend they will now start on Saturday with games against Cookstown and Carrickmore away with Dromore B coming to St Patrick’s Park. The minor B’s welcome Castlederg on Sunday morning with the A’s at Plunkett Park Pomeroy. Support for our teams would be welcomed.
The groups for the seniors and juniors have been drawn for the Jim Devlin and Mc Garrity cups. The seniors will play in group two with Dungannon, Coalisland and Owen Roes. The Thirds are in group four with games against Augher , Strabane, Urney and Errigall III’s. Competitions begin this month and preparation are well underway.
Vinny Mc Cullagh and Stephen Mc Namee will head up the senior ladies management team this year and they will step up preparation in the next week with the ACL planned to start at the beginning of May. Netball continues at Sacred Heart College on Wednesday nights.
Well done to our representatives on the Tyrone Under 20 hurling side that reached the Ulster final at the weekend. It was a busy weekend with representatives on several County teams, a measure of the quality we have in all codes.
Congratulations to our minor, senior and loreto Grammar school ladies footballer Emma Mc Crossan who has been named an Ulster ladies Post Primary Schools All Star.
The Defib training went ahead at the club on Monday night. The course delivered by Keith Collen from FODC.
Our Tiny Tots and senior clubs continue this week and like Gaelic Start continues to be hugely popular. Caife 32 our club café is open daily, ideal for a breakfast, lunch or wee get together.
Tickets for our National Draw are now available through klubfunder. Our Youth players will have received there tickets this week with the focus on improvements at St Patrick’s Park its key that the draw is supported.
The search is on for old photos, memorabilia, medals and old jerseys etc. We are developing a collection but need your help. Photos will be copied and returned. We especially seek a 2001 and 2009 minor ladies photos and a copy of the minor boys 2005.
