Well done to the club representatives who played for Tyrone in several codes last weekend with a special well done to Daire Sally who captained the Tyrone minor hurlers in their win over Donegal.
Preparations for the new season continues across all our teams with training continuing. Ladies senior footballers are reminded about their meeting this week (Details in their group).
Our 2015/2016 hurlers took part in Saturdays u10 Ulster Provincial Blitz in Magherafelt.
The lads enjoyed 7 games against opposition from Derry, Armagh & local teams Strabane & Eire Og, competing brilliantly against mostly older opposition. Well done to U12.5 players Dara McCaffrey and Cathal Devlin who played at half time in the Tyrone Meath game last week.
Our minors from 1965 had a great day last week as they reunited with each other and the Philadelphia Cup. Our thanks to Carrickmore for the loan of a trophy many of these players last seen sixty years ago.
The clubs development plan will be launched on Friday 21st at the clubrooms and that will also feature an opportunity to register and pay membership which is now due. The launch event marks a big weekend for the club with live music for our Kerry visitors on Saturday night and the visit of the Kingdom on Sunday. We also have a first aid training course on February 24th at 7-30pm which we encourage all coaches and mentors to participate in.
The annual dinner dance is set for Friday 28th February at the club with music from Brothers Inc. All club adult awards will be presented on the night.
Any player or coach who is not registered are not permitted to take part in games, training or use gym. Club membership across all codes is now due. Registration can be made directly on www.foireann.ie/ and full details of costs are available on our Club and County Website. To use the clubs gym you must also be a registered member. Sincere sympathy to the Strain family on the sad passing of Larry senior last week. After a time in New York Larry was a familiar face on Bridge Street at the family Public House, but was never far away from the football fields where he supported his family as they followed in his footsteps.
