The minor girls opened their league campaign on Wednesday night with an away game to Ardh Ruadh.
It took the girls a while to settle into the game and got on the scoreboard after 15 minutes with a goal, with Aodh Ruadh 1.05 up at that stage.
The girls played some good football against a strong physical Ardh Ruadh side. Our girls went in at half time 2.09 to 2.01in favour of the hosts.
This young team played very well considering this is their first game in Grade 1 and with a number of changes in the second half, faught to the end, but it wasn’t to be our night.
