The Executive Committee and members of St. Enda’s wish to extend their deepest sympathy on the recent death of Charles Hunter New Jersey New York late of Abbey Street Omagh after a brief illness. Son of former St Enda’s chairman Councillor Charles Hunter RIP. Charlie was a former St Enda’s goalkeeper and member of the club. He was chair of the Tyrone society New York in 1956 when Tyrone with a handful of Omagh clubmen made an historic trip to the Big Apple. In 1984 Charlie presented a ball signed by the Tyrone team from a game in NY, to the late Jackie Martin, Donal Donnelly and Declan O’Neill for the club. It is now at the Croke Park museum. Charlie returned home many times since and always kept in touch with club affairs through Paddy whose late father was Charlies cousin. Another link with the formative years of our club gone. Charlie is predeceased by his wife Marian, Brother Jackie and sister Kathleen. Our sympathy to his sister Marian, big family circle in the USA and our club members the Hunter family Omagh. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
