The Executive Committee and members of St. Enda’s wish to extend their deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Eamon McClean who suddenly passed away on Monday.
Husband to Roisin, father of three young boys and son-in-law of former club stalwart Mickey Gilheaney, Eamon’s untimely passing at such a young age has come as a tremendous blow to his family, friends and club members.
A native of Beragh, and son of Paddy-Joe and Annie McClean, Eamon first made a big impression at Omagh St Enda’s during the club cycle from Galway in 2011 and has since been a mainstay within the club’s youth and fundraising activities.
With his young sons Tiernan, Leon and Euan playing Gaelic football and hurling for our U8, U10 and U12 teams, Eamon has played an active part in supporting the club in recent years by assisting our coaches at training, taking great photographs for parents to cherish or taking a car load of boys to a match. No job was too big or too small for Eamon.
His enthusiasm and willingness to help others also saw him take part in many other local sporting and fund raising initiatives through cycling and running.
A sad day for everyone. Eamon is survived by his wife Roisin and his three sons. Sympathy is also extended to the wider family circle and friends at this difficult time.
Funeral details later.
