Are you a young club member who would like to have your work as a coach officially recognised? This Saturday, young volunteers between the ages of 14 and 14 are invited to attend a Tyrone Goldmark Workshop in Garvaghey from 10.30am to 11am to register for this years programme.
GoldMark is a dynamic programme aimed at promoting and recognising sports volunteering for 14 to 24 year olds. The GoldMark Scheme is run by Volunteer Now and recognises three levels of volunteering 50 hours, 100 hours and 200 hours. This initiative is recognised by Department of Education and will help young volunteers on CVs and college applications.
This workshop will provide information for young volunteers and their clubs on the benefits of the programme and how they can become involved in the programme.
All clubs are encouraged to ask their young volunteer aged 14-24years old to attend this workshop so that they can enroll for this important programme and receive certificates for their volunteering hours.
To register for the workshop email sharon.haughey.ulster@gaa.ie or phone 028 37517 180. Any young volunteer unable to attend the workshop can still enroll in the programme by emailing Sharon.
