Bingo Off – Due to current adverse weather conditions, this evening’s (Thurs) bingo session has been cancelled.
Youth Registration Day – With all celebratory activities relating to the 2014 season officially coming to a close last Saturday, our 2015 plans will officially commence this Saturday with our youth Registration Day at Healy Park. Any boy or girl between the ages of 6 and 18 who would like to play the full range of Gaelic Games at St. Enda’s this year is encouraged to attend between 10am and 12noon. A registration form can be downloaded here. St. Enda’s is committed to developing Gaelic football, hurling, camogie and Scór for young people of the parish and all newcomers are welcome to sign up and experience our activities.
Night of Champions – On Saturday night last almost 170 individual medals were handed out to senior men, senior ladies, reserves, U21 and All-Ireland Ballad winners at our ‘Night of Champions’ celebrations. Ciarán McLaughlin, the outgoing Tyrone County Chairman for 2014 was amongst the guests of honour to present the O’Neill Cup to senior captain Hugh Gallagher and medals to all the players. Also receiving a special award was Joe Mulryan who was presented with his President’s Medal having completed a memorable year in post. The club sponsors – the Mellon Country Hotel, Recyco and Centra Brookmount Road – as well as the numerous hard working individuals and managers of our successful teams were also celebrated. Scór finalists – Congratulations to all our Scór representatives who have qualified for the Tyrone senior finals on the 8th February. We will have ten acts in the finals.
Youth training – Training for U14 and minor boys as well as U14 girls has commenced. U14 Girls Football training takes place on Tuesday at Healy Pk in main hall 7.45 to 9.00, all welcome. Please bring water, £1 and trainers. U14 boys football training Tuesday 6.45-8 at Omagh CBS (outside). Bring water, suitable training gear and £1. Last year u12s welcome. U18 Boys Minors next training on Tues at 6.15pm sharp at Healy Park. Be there from 6pm. Training will be in the Main Hall. Bring runners and water bottle.
U21 defeat – Commiserations to our U21s who lost to St. John’s of Belfast in the quarter-finals of the Ulster club championship last Sturday on the score of 3-6 to 1-10.
All-Stars – Congratulations to Ronan O’Neill and Barry Tierney on their Gaelic Life Ulster Club All-Star awards received last Friday, while Laurence Strain and Conor Meyler received very well deserved Merit Awards for Manager and Young Player of the Year respectively.
Hurling blitz – This Saturday U6 and U12 hurlers have an indoor blitz in Omagh Leisure Centre. Contact Dominic McClements on 07725351643 for details.
U16 hurlers – The U16 hurlers held a presentation and activity session last Sunday with Ciaran Lagan receiving the 2014 Player of the Year Award and Ciaran McDermott the Most Promising Award. Anyone wishing to play hurling in 2015 from U8-U18 levels should contact any club official at youth registration this Saturday.
Last man standing – Last Man Standing sheets for the National League are to be submitted prior to Saturday’s first match. No late entries shall be included.
