Club Dinner – This award plus other club awards and player medals will be presented at our celebration dinner in the Mellon on Saturday week (24th Jan).
Due to an anticipated high demand, tickets will, in the first instance, be made available to paid up club members only on a first come basis. Requests for tickets (£25) should be sent by text to John McElholm 07921577319 or Paul Breen 07803876555 by Friday 16th Jan. Any available tickets after this date will go on general sale.
AGM – Next Tuesday, the club’s annual general meeting will be held in the clubrooms, commencing at 7.30pm sharp. With such a busy year to review, it is important that all members are in attendance from 7.00pm to allow for a punctual start. The club’s main officers John McElholm, Paul Breen and Paul Meldrum will present their reports for the year and as well as the appointment of a new committee for 2015, members will also be required to vote for their Club Person of the Year.
U21 championship – The U21s are currently preparing for their Ulster Club Championship clash with St. John’s of Belfast at Creggan on Saturday 24th at 2pm before they make the dash back home for the club dinner. A number of club players are expected to attend the Gaelic Life Ulster Club All-Stars the previous evening in Belfast so a busy weekend is ahead for everyone.
Youth training – Training for U14 and U18 boys football has commenced. The U18s will train on Friday evening indoors at Healy Park from 8.15pm sharp. All players should bring their own water bottle. A donation of £1 is required from each player. New players are welcome for the season ahead.
Sympathy – The club extends its deepest sympathy to the family of the late Eugene Flood who passed away recently. Mr Flood is brother in law of youth coach Brian Campbell. Sympathy is also extended to the McGowan family on the death of Mrs Mary McGowan of 10 Bracken Court, Omagh. Deceased is the mother of club member Terry McGowan Snr and grandmother of former player Terry Jnr.
Healy Park Games – This Sunday, Healy Park hosts a McKenna Cup game between Tyrone and Antrim. Stewards should report for duty by 12.30pm on Sunday and again for 6.30pm next Wednesday evening.
Scór final – The club will be running a bus to the Ulster final of the Scór na nÓg in Threemilehouse, Co. Monaghan, on Saturday week (17th Jan) to support our Set Dancing team. The finals start at 5pm. Anyone requiring a seat on the bus should contact David Tierney asap on 07742 242072
