Ulster final 2014-11-30 241 v Slaughtneil

End of a great run – It was all so close…but in the end it was not meant to be. Last Sunday’s single point defeat in the Ulster final denied St. Enda’s an historic first title but our players and management team still came away from the Athletic Grounds as local heroes. Their performance in the decider and all throughout this championship season was memorable and although it may have ended in some disappointment, we cannot forget that 2014 has been an incredible season which reaped no fewer than six county titles for club teams, culminating of course in that famous first senior county final win in 26 years on the 28th September. Well done to everyone who put in such commitment this season and a special word of thanks to our team sponsors the Mellon Country Hotel and to Logan and Corry Solicitors for sponsoring kit bags for last Sunday.

Barry TierneyBarry Tierney has been nominated at centre half back on the Gaelic Life team of the week. Let’s get voting to make him the overall Player of the Week. Vote now – http://gaeliclife.com/extra-time/team-of-the-week/

Great fans – We must also pay tribute to everyone who supported the team all season and it was great to see so many people in the stands last Sunday. Plans are already being put in place for 2015 and we extend a big welcome to anyone who would like to contribute to club life next season.
