County final 2014-09-28 230

Championship glory – The famine of 26 years finally ended in our own Healy Park last Sunday when our seniors staged a marvellous comeback against Carrickmore to win our eighth O’Neill Cup, the last one being 1988. The reverberations of the win will be felt for a long time throughout Omagh and the result is just reward for the many hours of dedication and commitment put in to the club by not just of our senior players and the entire management team, but also every youth coach, player and administrator who work for the good of St. Enda’s GAA. Congratulations and well done to everyone involved, our sponsors and of course the many supporters who came out on Sunday to back the players.  County final wins are a great opportunity to remember past players who achieved greatness, least of all Thady Turbett who holds six championship medals, and also to salute those who perhaps never got the chance to experience success but who have remained committed to the club. Sunday’s win was for everyone. Well done boys.
