County final weekend – Pride of place this week goes to our senior players who are currently finishing preparations for Sunday’s Tyrone senior final against Carrickmore at Healy Park. The pairing is a repeat of our last senior final appearance in 2005 and everyone in the parish will be behind Laurence, Barry and the team as they bid to bridge a 26 year gap and bring the title back to St. Enda’s.
Supporters – All club supporters are encouraged to show their support for the team. We would also like to thank everyone, particularly local businesses and generous individuals who have supported fund raising activities in recent days. Thanks also to the many club members who attended the Supporters Breakfast last Saturday and a particular thanks to our generous sponsors the Duddy family and the Mellon Country Hotel for backing the event.
Flags – A selection of flags and club gear is still available at the club shop which will open on Saturday between 12noon and 1pm. Contact Vicky on 07725 356876 for further opening times.
Mass – There will be a special pre-final Mass for club members and supporters in the Sacred Heart Church this evening (Thurs) at 7.30pm. Everyone is encouraged to attend.
Match stewards – While the big focus will be on the game on Sunday, club members still have to do their bit in making sure activities at Healy Park go off without a hitch and all available stewards including car park attendants, shop assistants and programme sellers, etc, are asked to report for duty by 11am on Sunday.
Mini-games – Two youth players Dan Haigney and Caoimhe Miley will represent the club in the half-time mini-games in Healy Park on Sunday.
Good luck – First game on Sunday is the Grade 2 U21 final at 1.30pm and everyone at St. Enda’s wish our Parish neighbours Drumragh the best of luck in this decider.
U16 football – Good luck also to our boys U16 team who also play Carrickmore in the Grade 1 championship in Carrickmore next Tuesday. Please note game postponed from Saturday. A good support for the boys would be appreciated.
