St. Enda’s Seniors and Reserve scored a vital double win over Carrickmore in the latest All County League games at Healy Park on Sunday.
Reserves: St. Enda’s 0-14 Carrickmore 1-9
In a tight opening Reserve game, it took two late scores in stoppage time from Rory McBride and Thomas Clarke to snatch a victory.
With Carrickmore leading 1-9 to 0-10 with five minutes to go, Eamon McMahon and then Shane O’Neill helped to bring the game level on the stroke of normal time before McBride and Clarke secured the victory in two minutes of added time.
Reserve scorers – Eamon McMahon (0-3), Ryan McBride, Mickey Gallagher, Rory McBride (0-2) each; Michael Flanagan, Paddy Doherty, Joe Colton, Shane O’Neill, Thomas Clarke (0-1 each)
Seniors: St. Enda’s 2-18 Carrickmore 0-5
In the subsequent senior match, there was never any danger for the St. Enda’s men as they ran riot in a very one-sided contest.
From the moment Conor O’Donnell scored his first goal in under two minutes, it was all one-way traffic with Omagh leading 1-14 to 0-1 at half time with O’Donnell and Jason McAnulla causing the visitors defence all sorts of problems.
In a more pedestrian second half Omagh always remained in control and could even afford a missed penalty midway through the action before O’Donnell scored his second goal five minutes before the end to seal the rout.
Senior scorers – Conor O’Donnelly (2-4), Jason McAnulla (0-5), Ronan O’Neill (0-4), Hugh Gallagher (0-2), Justin McMahon, Cormac O’Neill, Conan Grugan (0-1 each)
