LAST Sunday’s Ulster final day in Clones was a special occasion for a selection of Omagh men when the Tyrone team of 1989 were honoured as the jubilee team.
In that team were Seanie Meyler who played at left half forward with Patsy Kerlin named amongst the substitutes. Lining out at left half back was a young John McGoldrick from Dromore who is now a key part of the St. Enda’s youth management set-up.
The late Donal Donnelly a former St. Enda’s and Tyrone star, was manager of that Tyrone team and his son Raymond was there to receive a Jubilee medal on behalf of the legendary player who sadly passed away in December 2013.
