Weekly news round-up – Thurs 12th June

BBQ next week – The club’s annual summer BBQ will take place on Saturday 21st June. Tickets (£10) are available from the clubrooms or at Micky McCrory’s newsagent, John Street. The BBQ will also coincide with the visit of the Barrow Rangers club from Kilkenny for the All-Ireland Feile na nGael. Everyone is encouraged to show their support for the BBQ which is now a key event in the club’s social calendar.

Feile meeting – Anyone available to help over the weekend of the Feile is invited to a meeting in the clubrooms this evening (Thurs) at 7pm. Any business or individual who would like to make a donation towards new team attire and equipment for the U14 Feile team is asked to contact either Ciaran McDaid 07729 378421 or Dominic McClements 07725351643 asap.

All County League – On the field of action, the seniors lost to Killyclogher last Sunday while the Reservers picked up vital points in a good win. This Saturday the Reserves are in championship action against Coalisland at Healy Park at 7.30pm.

U21s – The U21s also commenced their championship campaign on Wednesday with an impressive win over Carrickmore and are also home to Errigal Ciaran next Tuesday at 7.30pm.

Youth coaching – Camogie and U12 boys football coaching continues on Friday evening at the usual times while the U10 boys have football and hurling coaching on Saturday morning at 10am in St. Patrick’s Park.

U8 blitz – The U8 boys have a football blitz in Killyclogher on Saturday at 10.30am. Parents to leave boys off at Ballinamullan by 10am.

Special meeting – All paid up Club Members are invited to attend a Special General Meeting to be held in the Clubroom at Healy Park on Monday 23rd June at 8pm. The meeting is required to make minor amendments to the Club’s constitution.

Charity dance – There will be a fund raising dance in the clubrooms this Saturday evening in aid of Barry McAleer who is ill in an Australian Hospital. Dancing to Folklore 9pm-12.30am. Tickets available at Micky McCrory’s Newsagent John Street, Omagh, or contact Peter Bennett 028 8224 3899.
