Seniors – Highlight of the week was last Saturday’s tremendous senior championship win over Coalisland in Carrickmore with the St. Enda’s men coming from behind to set up a quarter-final clash with Eglish. Well done to all but we all wish a speedy recovery to Conor Clarke who sustained a serious knee injury and is now set to miss the rest of the season. This Sunday it is back to league action with a short trip to Ballinamullan to take on neighbours Killyclogher. Due to Cemetery Sunday, throw-ins are 4.30pm (reserve) and 6pm (senior).
Minors – Unfortunately the minors were unable to repeat that championshipp success when they lost to a strong Galbally on Sunday. The boys have league play-offs to look forward to however.
U14s – The U14 footballers also bowed out of the championship last week but the U14 hurlers recorded an historic win in the Tyrone Feile last Saturday when they won the Shield section to secure a first hurling trophy for the club in 19 years. Well done to all involved. The boys are now looking forward to a trip to Croke Park this Saturday for the Nicky Rackard Cup final. The U14 girls also recorded a great championship win over Clonoe last week and now play Glenelly in the semi-finals next Tuesday at St. Patrick’s Park at 7pm.
Senior ladies – The senior ladies play St. Macartans in the league this Saturday in St. Patrick’s Park at 7pm. Good luck to the three St. Enda’s girls – Christiane Hunter, Cara McCrossan and Emma Collins – on the Tyrone panel to play Armagh in the championship this Sunday.
Youth training – Training for all teams continues as usual with U8 and U10 football and hurling this Saturday at 10am in St. Patrick’s Park and again on Tuesday. U12 and U14 hurling continues this evening at 6.30pm but in the changed venue of Healy Park with camogie on Friday at 6.15pm in St. Patrick’s Park. U12 football coaching on Friday at 6.15pm. Orders for tickets for the Tyrone v Monaghan game are now being taken and paid-up club members must text their request to secretary Paul Breen on 07803876555 by Sunday 8th June.
Golf Classic – Well done to everyone and especially to Paul O’Neill for the superb golf classic last Friday when over 40 teams took part in a great fund-raising event. Check website and facebook for further details including photos.
