U14 ladies Grade 2 Championship preliminary round.
St. Enda’s 3-10 Clonoe 3-9
Congratulations to St. Enda’s U14 girls who secured a thrilling one point win over a highly fancied Clonoe team in the preliminary round of the championship on Tuesday evening in St. Patrick’s Park.
Clonoe started off the better going into an early 3 point lead but the St. Enda’s girls battled hard and scored a goal to lead at half time by 1-04 to 0-05.
In a thrill-a-minute second half when the lead went from one team to another, Omagh went into a four point lead going into the final few minutes. Clonoe however battled back, scoring a goal with a couple of minutes to go.
With some excellent defending and fighting for the ball, the St. Enda’s girls dug deep to show great commitment to hold out for a vital win over their unbeaten rivals on the score of 3-10 to 3-9. Well done girls and they now move on to the Championship semi-finals.
