There was a champagne reception for the St. Enda’s All-Ireland Scór heroes at Healy Park on Sunday afternoon as the title-winning Ballad Group and our valiant Ceili Dancers were introduced to spectators at half-time in the St. Enda’s v Moy All County League game.
The victory in Castlebar was the club’s fourth All-Ireland in the Ballad category, the previous titles being won in 1987, 1990 and 2008. The ballad group comprised of Eolann Duffy, Faelan Duffy, Edward Byrne, Padhraic Colton, Conal O’Kane.
While the final proved to be a disappointing one for our dancers, they should, nontheless be very proud of themselves as they set out to defend the title won last year with vigour. David Tierney, Paul Breen, Faelan Duffy, Damian Friel, Michelle Mullin, Leanne McCullagh, Amy McElhatton and Lauren Murphy can take great consolation from the fact that they have helped to make St. Enda’s the leading Scór club in the country and we still top the Ceili dance leader board with ten titles.
