Weekly news round-up – Thurs 19th Sept

Senior Championship – The defeat by Clonoe in the championship last Sunday proved to be a disappointment for all. The  focus for the seniors now turns to our remaining league games with the Reserves awaiting a date for their championship encounter with Clonoe

Tyrone minors – This weekend all attention is on Croke Park for the Tyrone minors and best wishes to club players Michael Flanagan and Riann Samir who are members of the Tyrone panel. The All-Ireland finals will be shown on the big screen in the clubrooms this Sunday, everyone is welcome to attend.

U16 football – Well done to the club’s U16s who came from behind against Carrickmore last Saturday to edge out a one point win in the opening round of the championship. The U16 Devs enter the championship on Saturday week at home to Brocagh and tomorrow (Fri) they travel to Stewartstown for their League quarter-final at 6.30pm.

U13 football – The U13 footballers continue their league action with a home game this evening  (Thurs) against Cappagh in St. Patrick’s Park at 6.45pm.

Hurling – There will be no hurling coaching this evening (thurs). The U12 and U14 hurlers are preparing for a trip to Loughgiel this Saturday where they will enjoy a special coaching session before attending an Antrim SHC semi-final.

Camogie – The final outdoor coaching session of the season for camogie will take place in St. Patrick’s Park on Friday from 6.30pm before switching indoors on 27th September in CBS.

Guess the Score – Youth players who have completed their Guess the Score sheets for this week should return them to their coaches by Saturday.

Girls football – U8 and U10 girls football coaching finished yesterday but the girls are due to play a blitz in Garvaghey on Sat 28th.

Lotto – Club Lotto numbers are 9, 16, 20, 23 and 28. With four numbers, Brian McMenamin and Carmel Rafferty each wins £50.
