Weekly news round-up – Thurs 6th June

Senior football – The senior and reserve footballers will be hoping to bounce back from last weekend’s losses in Trillick when they host Eglish this Sunday in Healy Park. Throw-in is 2.15 and 3.45pm.

Minor football – The minor footballers staged a remarkable second half comeback against Strabane last week to qualify for the semi-finals of the championship where they will play Errigal Ciaran. Meanwhile, they play Coalisland in the quarter-finals of the league this Friday evening at 7pm in Healy Park.

U14 football – The U14 boys had a championship quarter-final game in Cookstown on Wednesday night when they won comfortably. This Saturday they play Loughmacrory in the quarter-finals of the league in Dunmoyle at 1.30pm. The U14 girls footballers play Edendork in the League in St. Patrick’s Park this evening (Thurs) at 7pm.

Senior ladies – Hard luck to the senior ladies who lost to Ardboe in the championship last week, the side put up a great second half performance and were very unlucky with some scoring efforts.

Camogie – Camogie coaching in St. Patrick’s Park continues on Friday from 6.30pm.

Youth coaching – U8 football and hurling coaching contines on Saturday at 10am with U12 at 11.30am and U16 at 3pm.

Blitz – U10 footballers are away to a blitz in Strabane on Saturday..

Summer cycle – There’s just over a fortnight to our sixth annual cycle and BBQ and anyone who wants to participate can sign up on the morning for just £10. Please pass the word. BBQ tickets will go on sale from next week.

Sympathy – Sympathy is extended to the Byrne and Love familes on the death this week of Mrs Bridget Love.
