Big Breakfast success

October 8th, 2017 | General News, Reserve Football, Senior Football & Hurling

A big thank you to the many club supporters who attended Saturday morning’s ‘Big Breakfast’ in the Sperrin Restaurant.

Numbers surpassed our 2014 event and as our senior players helped to serve up a breakfast to satisfy the most voracious of appetites, club members can now begin the countdown in earnest to next week’s county final showdown with Errigal Ciaran.

A special word of appreciation must go to our very generous sponsors, the Duddy family and staff at the wonderful Sperrin Restaurant who exceeded all expectations once again. And a big thank you to the loyal band of club workers who once again did a fantastic job in helping to serve up a breakfast which was fit for an army.

Club members are now encouraged to show their colours in support of the seniors in the coming days by decorating their homes and streets of the town.

This morning’s Big Breakfast also enjoyed a special visitor with Waterford senior hurling manager Derek McGrath stopping by to show his support for our senior footballers and also our U14 hurlers who played in their own county final later that afternoon. Derek was very generous with his time, offering words of encouragement and signing autographs for our youth players.
