Mental Health Awareness session

A Mental Health Awareness session will be held for adults over the age of 25 in the clubrooms tomorrow Tuesday, 28th October at 7.30pm. It will be delivered by Aware Defeat Depression and there is no cost to attend. The Mental Health Awareness sessions are perfect for coaches, committee members, senior players and volunteers with a pastoral role, but it is also open to anyone 25 and over who would like to come.
The sessions will:
-Describe what is meant by the terms mental illness and mental health.
-Give you awareness of causes of depression and explain the early signs to look out for.
-Increase knowledge of what to do if you believe someone is facing challenges.
-Reduce stigma thereby increase the likelihood that someone affected by the illness will seek professional help to recover.
-Identify ways of looking after your own mental wellbeing.
