Disappointment for minors in league quarter-final

St. Enda’s minors exited the 2014 Minor Football League campaign after losing in a thrilling Grade 1 quarter-final at Healy Park on Friday evening.

After trailing at half-time by 3-5 to 0-8, the St. Enda’s. boys staged a strong second half come-back, scoring 1-2 inside the first three minutes of the restart. However the visitors hit the net for a fourth time in 20th minute before St. Enda’s replied with a goal of their own in the 27th minute to set up a thrilling climax.

As the game edged in to injury time and Omagh pressed for a badly needed goal, only the cross bar denied what could have been a winning score.
